FROM SENATOR DIANE SNELLING September 1, 2008 Dear Friends and Neighbors, It has been an honor to serve you in the Vermont State Senate and I’m grateful for the opportunity to be a strong advocate for the people of Chittenden County. We are facing difficult times in Vermont that will require knowledge and experience to make good decisions. I’ve built a solid reputation for getting things done with a thoughtful non-partisan approach to issues. I am running for re-election. Your generous support made a big difference in the past and I hope you will help me win in 2008. My proven ability to work effectively in the Legislature will be important in finding the right solutions to the challenges we face. As a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee I have worked hard to address the priorities of all Vermonters. I understand the many competing needs for limited budget dollars and that hard choices will be made. I believe we can weather the storm but it will take common sense to create balanced government and solid long term planning for the future. There aren’t any easy answers, but we must have a government within our means and still provide an essential safety net. The Chittenden Senate race is always crowded. There are six seats, and to win I must keep my name “at the top” in voters minds. I’m campaigning hard based on the issues, and on my track record for successful non-partisan leadership. I need volunteers, like you, who care deeply about Vermont to encourage others to participate, and to vote for me. I also need your generous financial support to help keep my campaign visible to all Chittenden County voters. The maximum contribution per person is now $2,000. Any amount is deeply appreciated. Your vote and your support
can make a difference for the future of Vermont. Thank you in advance
for your help.
Sincerely,
PS: Thank you for sending your check today!
